”Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. ”Great hotel with lots of activities for the kids. Gym was huge with lots of equipment and classes. We had a family suite which was huge with separate bedrooms for kids and adults. Only small let downs were the shower pressure being terrible, hotel was super hot even though it wasn’t a warm day, but the did provide us with fans. Breakfast had a great selection but gluten free options ran out quickly and weren’t replaced.”

”Really nice place to stay, I'd come back for a short stay again. The full English breakfast was good, my friend thought that his pancakes were under done, the scrambled eggs were out of a packet & watery. The bar was well stocked with a reasonable selection of beers. The only downside was that they don't serve food after 1600 on a Sunday. ”

”We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. The staff were all amazing and really made us feel at home. A very relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast options. The bar was a great option to wind down at the end of the day with a night cap. ”Rooms a bit dated but fine and comfortable. Smart TV recently installed which was good addition. Staff very helpful and approachable. Food good. Bar busy as a popular wedding venue. Third stay here and will return again. Good value and great location. ”

”A really good location to stop overnight and very happy with the room. Breakfast was delivered in a hamper box outside our room and was rather disappointing. No egg/cold meats option. The main option was oats with fruit. We ordered with banana and strawberry. Tiny amount of strawberry and the banana slices were dried and chewy. But the evening meal was good honest pub grub.”

”Bathroom is very neglected. Dirty around the shower screen and the bath panel was rotten. Rest of the room was clean ”

”Staff were amazing on reception and a shout out to the male manager(?) next door at Beefeater! Excellent service! Room was sufficient for our needs the only thing that would be great would be a smart tv in the room!”
