”The swimming pool is out of order at the moment. was not notified of this when booking only a couple of days before I arrived. I was allocated room 56. Make sure you don’t get this room unless there is a heatwave. It was so cold that I had to ask to be moved during the night. The radiator does not appear to work in the room. I stayed for 3 nights, two of which had road closures outside the hotel . On the Sunday the road was closed from 7 am to 1 pm so could not leave unless you walked - and...

”Nice hotel within walking distance of the train station and town centre. Large room..which would benefit from a set of drawers though! Shower pressure wasn't great but overall we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was nice but no pastries etc...if you didn't want a cooked one there wasn't much else. Good value...quiet location....we were glad not to be in the city centre on a Saturday night! Pool was lovely after a day of shopping.”

”Definitely book a room in the old part if possible. The new wing is beautiful and clean....but it takes about 10 minutes from check in to find your room...but you'll need a map! Gorgeous grounds, food was delicious. Will visit again.”

”Brilliant hotel and value for money. Stayed at many different hotel chains and this is one of the better ones I’ve stayed at for size of room, having seperate lounge area with sofa, huge bed, tv with Netflix etc, pool, nice bar and food, £15 in uber to city centre and also includes parking. Rather pay that price and travel than the city centre prices!! Will def be staying here in future ”
