As a resident we struggled to find anywhere to sit in the bar as the bar/lounge was full of people visiting to eat food. Kept up all night by dogs barking so didn't sleep well. Had to wait for 20 minutes one morning at breakfast before we were given a menu or asked if we wanted a tea or coffee and only provided after we prompted the staff. ”The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen.
