”Beautiful huge home. Truly comfortable and spacious. The area is, however, one of the most crime ridden neighborhoods in DC. Abandoned home across street. A car window was smashed while we were there (not ours) I could never get my messages from the host. They go through a virbo hosting site and for whatever reason the messages never showed up. The house itself is awesome once you step inside. If I had known the condition of the neighborhood I would have never stayed there or else carried a...

”Our family had the best time in Alexandria and DC proper with The George as our homebase. Beds were very comfortable, living space and linens were all fresh and clean. The property is very close to a Safeway grocery store and with all the amenities The George offered we could easily prepare meals. The creative decor in shades of blue and coral, and special attention to detail all around the home, namely the hand painted mural in the living room, treated us all to an exceptional patriotic, DC...

”Great location, right next to left field stadium gate. Pleasantly surprising minimal noise at night, ear plugs not needed to sleep. Shower a little hard to access due to high step, be careful if older. Shower has to be shared by 2 bedrooms. This is petty, but no kitchen knives for cutting veggies, fruits, slicing bagels, etc. Best restaurant was Silver Diner, near main gate. No shopping in the area, would have to take an uber to Georgetown. Pretty close to Wharf, which we enjoyed, but just...

Washington Plaza Hotel

10/10 Loistava

"Clean and big room. Nice pool."

citizenM Washington DC Capitol

10/10 Loistava

"Clean and nice hotel very close to L’Enfant plaza metro (use entrance/exit B). Friendly service. Tiny room but worked well for us. Only minor complaint would be the water pressure in the shower was kinda lame…but like I said, minor. Enjoyed my stay and very much loved the pillows and comfy bed :)"

Motto by Hilton Washington DC Downtown

8/10 Hyvä

"Had a good 5-night stay here, everything worked. Although the room was snug, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom did the job (thought the night light was a great addition), and the location was superb (although a bit restless in the evenings). Only down side was the sound insulation which was alright, for a couple nights I could hear some machine humming away (fairly loudly) in the hallway, no clue what it was for, but was grateful when it finally stopped. All in all, great place with good connections and a comfortable stay in many ways."
