This is the Shuttle Discovery which now resides for all to see at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy museum near Dulles Airport. An overflow museum of the Smithsonian Air and Space museum, this magnificent museum showcases some of the more historical and experimental aircraft that have taken to the skies. This includes the SR-71 Blackbird, the Enola Gay and an Air France Concorde.

It's about a 30 minute drive from DC, and has enough to look at to keep you busy for several hours. Highly recommended for the aviation buffs, young and old.

”Fabulous views of WA mon. from big picture windows in bedroom and living room! Great natural light - huge windows! Spacious! Felt homey! Fantastic, comfortable bed! ”Used as a base for 2 nights whilst stopping over in DC before going to a wedding. Apartment was clean, comfortable and met all our needs. Check in was fine and the ability to leave our luggage in the post room the day of departure was very much appreciated.
