Summer in Summerland

We had a wonderful stay here. Kristin was a great host, always very responsive. The property has one of the best yards and views of any VRBO we have ever stayed in. The house is well appointed with all the necessities including a pack ‘n play for our 10 month old grandson. It was in easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Summerland, and a short drive to Montecito and Santa Barbara. I highly recommend.

Great Trip!

We had a great stay in Santa Barbara and Kristin’s house was perfect for our family of 6. The house was clean, had a great view, and her garden was absolutely beautiful. Downtown summerland was about a 5-10 minute walk from the house (we had coffee every morning downtown :) . Thanks for hosting us and we will be back!

Beautiful, charming, immaculate, convenient!

Charming, beautifully decorated home with GORGEOUS view and tons of amenities! Lovely outdoor space with grassy area, beautiful flowers and trees, and loads of places to sit and enjoy the view. Excellent communication from host and very accommodating. Welcome letter and instructions were super clear. Super easy access to beach and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous hillside home with a spectacular view

Kristin is a great host. She provides an excellent information packet and is quick to answer any questions. Her home is exceptionally clean and the artwork and furnishings are top notch. Like staying at the Ritz, except better, with views of the mountains and ocean.

Great Beach Retreat

Lovely Summerland home with sweeping oceans views to the Channel Islands. We were there with family and loved the house, neighborhood and views. Easy access to Santa Barbara and the wine country. Kristin made the whole process seamless. We plan on returning next year.

Christmas Getaway

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Everything about this property was exactly as described. My wife and I, along with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren aged 3 and 7 months enjoyed everything about this home. The bunk room was a big hit with out grandson where he got to sleep in a "big boy" bed. The location was incredible with beautiful mountain and ocean views. The outdoor seating areas were also great and perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Its proximity to Montecito was a big plus as we have relatives who live in Montecito. And Kristen was the perfect host - great with ongoing communications and always quick to respond when we had questions. And we really appreciated that she set up a Christmas tree for the holidays so our kids could celebrate on Christmas morning. Hope to come back next time when we're in the area.

Quintessential Weekend Getaway

Four sisters convened in Summerland for a reunion. This home has striking views and provides all the necessities for a spectacular stay. Great location with close access to wine tasting in Ojai, dining in Santa Barbara, and lovely shops in walkable Summerland.

The home served as a good location for us to have a family vacation around Santa Barbara. There is a nice playground for young kids at the bottom of the hill and across the freeway that really helped us get their wiggles out.

We couldn’t have picked a better location or home for our family stay from the Pacific NW. The shops in Summerland and beach were a short walk and downtown Santa Barbara a short drive. Loved the outdoor space. Highly recommend!

perfect place for our "base camp"

This is our second year at Summerland. Kristen is a fabulous host, and we love the house, the backyard, and the neighborhood. Our only sadness is that we never get to enjoy all it has to offer because we are on a work retreat. However, it's the perfect place for all of us to sit down after working and decompress, or enjoy a group breakfast before heading off to the job at hand. We are very thankful that Kristen offers up her home. It's perfect for our needs.

Fabulous family getaway

This beautifully decorated home with gorgeous views out over both the hills and coastline and an enclosed garden was the perfect spot for our family to relax and to be together. The Summerland location was perfect for us, with the small beach town feel and easy access coffee shop, a couple of restaurants (with kid-menus!) and just a short hop from Montecito for groceries and more as needed. The bedroom set-up worked well for us as a family of 4 we put the kids in the bunk room, which they LOVED. We took the queen room off the kitchen that while small at a glance actually had a lovely little seating area that opened up to the views outside and with a nice bathroom was completely comfortable for my husband and me. We gave the master to my parents so that they had plenty of space and could sleep in / take naps as needed and the whole set-up indoors & out made for an easy flow, everyone comfortable, plenty of space to enjoy one another weekend. The outdoor space was perfect for afternoon relaxing. We hosted my grandparents who popped over from Montecito for lunch outside, the couches and umbrellas allowed us to spend both afternoons outside taking in the views and being together while the kids played around safely in the enclosed garden area. All in all the house is a total gem. The decor is lovely and the thoughtful details and renter notes/instructions made us feel at ease and cared for. Beautiful home and beautiful hospitality. We for sure hope to come back.

This is a lovely property in a cute, quiet, and safe town right next to Montecito and Santa Barbara. The house is spacious and very comfortable, artfully decorated, and super clean. Kristin was a thoughtful host, filling the house with amenities and thinking about all of the details. It also was very easy to communicate with her. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful home in a beautiful location!

We spent 3 wonderful days at Tesoro and loved it! Everything about this property was exactly as described. My husband and I, along with our son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren aged 13, 10 and 8, enjoyed everything about this home as there was plenty of space for the 7 of us. The beds are very comfortable, there is a well-equipped kitchen and the bunk room is perfect. The entire house is decorated exactly as you'd want a casual, yet elegant beach house. We can't say enough about the stunning views! We all spent as much time as we could enjoying the Pacific ocean breezes and Kristin's gorgeous succulent gardens. We also loved the little village of Summerland as well as nearby Santa Barbara. A wonderful get-away at a wonderful home in a beautiful location. We willl definitely go back!

Restorative

We had a lovely stay at Kristin's home! She has put a lot of thought into everything there- the furniture, the beds, the aesthetic, the patio, the garden! Our kids loved the bunk rooms and we had amazing sleep as well. Her garden is full of succulents and my daughter picked lemons from the garden to squeeze in our water and in our avacado toast. We used the sonos sound system and fireplace to create some relaxing vibes on a rainy day. We used all of the binders she has thoughtfully put together to help guide activities including the walk down a short steep hill for breakfast and buying a bikini at the bikini factory! We went for a lovely run down to the beach.. with the smell of Eucalyptus from the trees on the path down and collected heart stones!

The house was a perfect addition to a girls weekend.

The views were amazing, the neighborhood was quiet and very safe. The Main Street was like a scene out of a movie. The house was cozy and spacious. It was just tge cherry on top of a great weekend get away with friends.

Home away from Home!

Beautiful home and location!

My wife and I and our friends who joined us loved the house. The views and yard are fantastic, as is the great room living area and master suite. Owner is very responsive and accessible. We chose to give our travel partners the master suite, and although the guest suite is comfortable, it is quite small. It also could use a small dresser as the antique armoire, though nice, didn't quite accommodate 5 days of clothing. We didn't use the bunk room, but if you are bringing kids it would be more than comfortable for them. All in all, a great stay and highly recommended.
