”I wish we could have given more stars on this hotel because the rooms were actually very clean and lovely and comfortable. Unfortunately we were told we could check in at 3pm but when we got to the hotel, there was a sign on the door to say reception was closed until 4pm and we were given a number to call if assistance was required. ”Lovely old pub with good rooms available, Gary is a nice friendly host and really cares that you enjoy your stay. We had our evening meal and drinks there which were good quality and value for money. The breakfast was top notch and you helped yourself to good quality coffee and toast.

”This hotel was probably state of the art 35/40 yrs ago.
It’s very well photographed but in honesty… it’s awful.
Rooms are worn out, carpets in places are threadbare. Bathroom had various it’s broken or loose.
In the evenings was a constant smell of over cooked vegetables that was very unpleasant.
Having spoken to locals it’s recently been taken over but it’s in need of HUGE investment
I (and neither will my colleagues) definitely won’t be staying there again.”
