This hotel was an absolute disappointment.
The check‑in process was a joke, one person on reception meant an unnecessarily long and frustrating wait. It set the tone for what turned out to be a consistently poor experience.
The bar staff were no better. Rude, dismissive, and apparently unable to make even a simple cocktail properly. Basic hospitality skills were nowhere to be found.
To make matters worse, the hotel doesn’t even provide complimentary water. Meanwhile, the Grace Hotel in the city is out here providing a complimentary minibar and actual service, making this Rydges look like a budget motel pretending to be something it’s not.
Overall, this place is a masterclass in how to charge full price while delivering the absolute bare minimum. A complete disgrace of a hotel.
