This characterful apartment makes a wonderful base to explore Ortigia and experience local Sicilian life. Conveniently located a one-minute walk from the sea and Ortigia’s historic Forte Giovannello, this property comfortably sleeps six guests.

The building’s original stone structure is decoratively exposed on the walls and archways with pretty tiling featured in the kitchen. The living area incorporates a space for dining and a small kitchenette. It is furnished with a smart flat-screen TV, a sofa bed, a sideboard and a dining table with four chairs. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, coffee machine, microwave and fridge freezer.

The small island of Ortigia is a UNESCO World Heritage site located off the coast of Syracuse in Sicily. The island is known for its historic center and beautiful architecture. The property is situated a one-minute walk from Forte Giovannello, a popular cultural attraction, where visitors can enjoy beautiful views across the island and the surrounding sea.

For budding scientists, the Archimede & Leonardo da Vinci Museum is a 4-minute walk away, this small but informative museum has interactive models of scientific inventions by Leonardo da Vinci & Archimedes.

Ortigia is connected to the mainland by three bridges and is home to many excellent restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy traditional Sicilian cuisine and sample some of the region\'s best wines.

For sun lovers there is a small cove called Cala Rossa located a 13-minute walk away from the accommodation on the eastern side of the Island. This is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. The water is crystal clear and there are several rocks where you can lay out a towel and soak up the sun.

There is also a popular sandy beach located about 15 minutes away by car - Spiaggia di Arenella. The beach is well-equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and beach bars.
