”LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful.

”The hotel location is not correct in Expedia. I booked it because it showed the location fairly place, BBD downtown Kolkata. It turns out the hotel is in another town, 1h outside Kolkata. It is a deceitful advertisement on Expedia page.
The hotel is located off a busy road with little to no amenities around. The owner (or manager) first offered me to stay as a guest and the day after was adamant on not refunding my booking. Terrible experience if you are a foreigner. ”
