What an amazing house! This was honestly one of the best rentals we’ve ever had. Our family gathered for a family reunion, and this beautiful home had every amenity possible. It was spacious, clean, well equipped, comfortable, and to top it off, it had one of the most amazing views of Lake Tahoe we’ve ever seen. The hosts were communicative, very kind, and responsive. We can’t wait to book this amazing home again and again and create more incredible family memories!

Very impressive home with awesome views of Lake Tahoe from almost every window. Our 20 year old twin granddaughters enjoyed the hot tub with a beautiful setting. The kitchen was well supplied with everything you could need. It was a three story house so had lots of stairs. The owners are lovely people!

Great cabin for large family gathering. We were looking for views and comfort, not fancy. We had 9 adults with plenty of room to spread out. Views are incredible and hot tub on deck that is ready for use was a welcome bonus. Bear sighting was exciting but also a reminder to be careful. Location was great for excursions to incline area one day and Sugar Pine Point State Park the other. Be sure to bring your own staples such as coffee and allow time to complete departure check list such as running and emptying dishwasher.

This property's highlight was the view of the entire Lake Tahoe. Next was the layout of the house which includes three levels each with a seating area, bathrooms in all areas some with two, two kitchens. Could not ask for more! Everyone was delighted with our stay at the Tahoe Mountain Retreat.

Incredible views

This cabin is well stocked and the view is unbelievable. It accommodated two families comfortably. We will 100% stay here again in the future. The location is perfect (super close to Garwoods, easy access to Kings Beach and Tahoe City.) I have never stayed in a cabin with a more breathtaking and expansive view from almost every room and of course from the large back deck where we spent most of our time.

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful Carnelian Bay home

This is our second stay at this property and it was just as wonderful as our first time. The accommodations were perfect for our extended ski weekend with our family. We had a comfortable stay with an outstanding view of the lake. The owners were quickly responsive to any questions we had and we will likely come back again in the future!

Perfect space, magical view

This is a perfect house for multiple things to be happening at once. Our son’s family was in the apartment with the littles that have their special needs. The teens loved the downstairs and downstairs he adults loved the upstairs. It’s so well appointed with spices and kitchen equipment. We wanted for nothing! Loved our stay. Oh, everyone said their beds were comphy!

The pictures don’t do the view justice

The view of the lake was much wider and better than I expected from the listing. Sleeping setup was perfect for 10 people. There is a 6th queen bed but it isn’t in a private room ( shares a common space ) in “the apartment. Our priority was a large house with a good view and this was better than I could have hoped for. I would go back.

Great place and wonderful view!

Group of 5 friends stayed here and it was comfortable, clean, and had beautiful views of the lake. Everyone had their own room and own bathroom which was really nice. Great hot tub and deck as well!

The home was very beautiful. It had so much room for family. Enjoyed the evenings sitting on the deck looking at the water or sitting in the hot tub. Waking up and going to bed every day looking at Lake Tahoe was the highlight of our stay.

Unbelievable Lake View!

This is the second time we have stayed at this home and it was fantastic! All the comforts you would expect PLUS one of the best views of the lake you could hope for. Just a few minutes from Garwoods. I would highly recommend!

Great place for vacation!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation. Great gathering space and fantastic patio with breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. Owner is easy to contact if needed, but all the right information was provided in advance. Would stay here again if the opportunity was available.

Family gathering for 8 to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary.

The house was perfect for our three small families, ranging in ages from 6 to 70. The view of the lake is spectacular and the location of the house on Carnelian Bay in North Tahoe is great. We have stayed in South and North Tahoe and prefer the latter. If you love wooden boats, be sure to visit Sierra Boat Company.

Perfect Tahoe Property for a Family Gathering

As several people have noted in other reviews, the view is even better than the pictures! We were a family group of 8 adults and two toddlers. The house was very comfortable for us and could have easily handled two more adults (which we had initially planned but a last minute Covid infection left 2 adults not able to travel). It is very well equipped with everything you will need - we cooked many meals in, and also barbequed on the gas grill on the deck one night. The beds were all very comfortable, and the family rooms both on the main floor and downstairs were very relaxing. Don't miss the hot tub! Everyone in our family agreed this was one of the best places we have stayed and would gladly visit again.
