This hotel has seen better days but the female receptionist made it sadly a hotel we will want to forget. Her attitude which was arrogant and obtuse was only matched by her overall lack of competence and her totally unprofessional approach. Her poor command of English could not be used as an excuse as even in Arabic she was poor. Aside from nearly depriving us of our right to breakfast, she also asked to see my passport 3 times. She asked for a credit card to take a deposit of SAR 300 but to be returned in cash - an unsubtle con. What later emerged was that the deposit could not be used for food or room service while the room had a chocolate or 2 in the fridge- hardly worth SAR300. The whole scene was witnessed by her highly embarrassed colleagues and took nearly half an hour when all we wanted was to check in after an 8 hour drive. Retraining is desperately needed for this individual not even the VIP benefits was given to us!!!
