”We had a lovely 5 days at the Conch. It is a 10 minute tuktuk ride into Whitetown in Pondicherry, so very accessible but a little quieter which we preferred. The rooms are clean and spacious with an amazing private pool (can be a bit chilly when you jump in!). We had several meals whilst staying and the food was overall incredible - it’s homemade and full of flavour with plenty of variety. We’d recommend the Conch to anyone looking to visit Pondicherry.”

”We couldn't recommend Jungle Hut more! From the moment we were arrived til the moment we left, we were treated so well by all the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate us with everything we needed, and were so helpful and friendly. The place itself is amazing.....such an idyllic setting at the foothills of a beautiful mountain in the middle of a jungle! Relaxing in the pool while looking at the views was so nice! The accommodations are so clean, and well maintained, and eco friendly...

”Great ambience - swimming pool was good. Had fun at the jacuzzi. However, no massage facilities for women. No facility for swimming costume as well. But there were many positives. clean rooms, ac worked well ,friendly staff. Food was tasty. Good choice for a quiet, relaxed stay. My family enjoyed the experience immensely.will definitely recommend to people looking for a pleasant short stay. Trips to Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram are also possible and well...

”The property is in a good position uphill from the town (which we found dirty and disappointing ) but walkable. The room was a good size. Complimentary Afternoon tea tasting. Breakfast choices were good from the buffet. The property was well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. ”

”Unique property. Little cottages with outdoor showers are cute and cozy. We visited in February so swimming pool was cold otherwise it looked beautiful. Restaurant was doing its best but it's very simple and not much experience or understanding of world cuisine or English language. Place needs some remodeling in main areas.”

”Like: Location walkable into town and the rock carvings. On a large plot running down to the sea and huge pool. Cottage was spacious with view over golf course to the sea. Staff friendly and helpful. Large comfortable bed. Dislike: Sunbeds need renewing. 2 of stairs into pool broken. Litter not cleared away.No chairs/ sun beds on the beach and unfinished buildings next to the beach. Resort needs some TLC which may have started as lobby area being renovated.”

”If you think this is part of MGM group, it is NOT. It is a local MGM group that has taken the global brand and monetizing on it. The property by itself is not really bad. But they rate themselves as MGM global brand and charge premium like a 5 star Hotels and that is where the problem is. If they charge 1000 - 2000 rupees, $20 - $50 per night, it is not bad. But anything more than $100 per night is too much for this place. I actually wanted to cancel my second night. But the hotel did not allow...
