”The hotel is ok, we had a twin room in the cottage lodge, no 526, it was quite a walk from reception. Most of the staff were helpful and cheerful. The hotel is looking somewhat dated, the room needed a good deep clean, shower head and bath mat needed replacing, I did write this to the manger in the initial check in review, as we were only staying 1 night it wasn’t worth complaining about. The car park needs re signing as cars didn’t know which way to go round!”

”Like the name tells, George and Dragon is an inn, not a fancy shining hotel, but it is a very cosy and nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The rooms are tidy and located in a separate building apart from the pub in the backyard, so the pub activities did not disturb our good night sleeps. There's a selection of traditional English style breakfast choices available in the morning which guarantee the calories for the rest of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful! ”

”There were quite a lot of steps outside to climb to get to our room but it was a lovely room once inside with a nice modern shower room. The bed was very soft but comfortable and there was a fridge with fresh milk inside which pleased my husband who dislike little fiddly pots of the uht ki d. ”Nice country pub with a cozy atmosphere. Our room was great, really clean and well presented, comfy bed and pillows, en-suite bathroom with a good shower and a decent size. Owners provided a fan which was very welcome during this current heatwave. We were greeted by Jacob in reception, really helpful, polite and respectful and he showed us to our room. ”We saw the proprietor when we arrived at the property. He said our room was ready, although we were very early. My partner was delighted with the box of breakfast goodies. The fridge and microwave were welcome extras.. Clean linen, big room, great locality. No negative points at all.”

”Yes the write up may say that the venue is open late and has music but our whole room was vibrating from the said musicians til gone 3am. Then the noise of people and staff leaving. I think we managed just a couple of hrs sleep before a LONG drive home. Yes they give you ear plugs but they don’t help at all.”

”The bed was super comfy and a king size. Towels were fluffy and big. Room was hot but it was the time of the heatwave and a fan was already in the room so all good. The breakfast was delicious and loads of it. The staff were also great, particularly Jimmy who showed us to our room, he served us a pint and said that if it was not up to standard, to let him know and he’d change it! All great customer service, all round from everyone at the Nags Head - well done all!”

”Nice little B&B close to centre of the village and running trails. Lucie sent the access codes to the front door and room making the check-in a breeze. It was a bit chilly during the first night (central heating off at night), but Lucie provided a portable radiator and extra blanket, so the 2nd night was warm and cosy. Very clean room and comfy bed. Also the breakfast was great. ”
