”Very professional staff, incredible location near the entrance to Yala National Park. The staffs English could be improved upon but the staff were very attentive, warm and helpful.
The room we had was incredible. Very large with all the amenties you could expect. The small private pool was nice but cold and not really used.
The food at the restaurant was well prepared and reasonably priced. They have both an international food and local Sri Lankan menu to choose from.

”At first we were really excited to be ar Laya Safari but after another look the place looked like it’s dying. It didn’t help that there weren’t so many tourists there at the time. The deluxe room was quite nice but the lighting was poor and the white curtains had a lot of stains on them which had a lot of impact on the overall feeling. There were also a lot of short power cuts and many things had been left unrepaired.

”This was one of the highlights of my month long travels in Sri Lanka. The resort is absolutely beautiful, the glamping tents are stunning and the host can’t do enough for you. The traditional food served was some of the best I have eaten in Sri Lanka and the attention to detail with service was unmatched.
10/10 recommend for a quiet getaway amongst nature.

”Absolutely beautiful property. Right on the beach with easy access. Hanuman langur monkeys were right outside the room. They were so cute!
Room had poor lighting, but everything else was perfect! Hotel next door has a superb buffet- best i have ever eaten in terms of variety!
Access road was bad and there was no place for our driver to stay so he had to find his own lodging.”
