”The hotel staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was well kept and clean. The room was very pleasant and spacious with it's own balcony. The tea and coffee selection in the room was very good. The restaurant was very well laid out with plenty of room, the service was very good and the breakfast menu had plenty of options with everything being well prepared and tasty.”

”I have not stayed here for years and was surprised to see that its still a Brend Hotel ( family hotel). I went for breakfast and it was a traditional waiter service breakfast eg you are shown to a table, another waiter takes your order, you choose the items you want and its freshly cooked ( no food sitting under a heated light)”

”A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!”

”A beautiful setting with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean room with good amenities. I also had a stunning beach view. Nothing was too much trouble. They even catered for my Gluten sensitivity. The food at Breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. My massage was heavenly also. The only think I didn’t like was the fact I had to leave such a wonderful place! ”

”Likes The staff were lovely. They were very accommodating and provided all the requests made. The breakfast was very tasty, and my partner was recommending it to our friends (which is a big thing). The room size was good. It's spacious (however, the shower room was a little snug). The room looked exactly like the photos, so that is a plus. We had dinner at the pub with our friends, everyone enjoyed their meal and I really liked the live band. We were singing the songs. Not so great There...
