”The Boathouse is on the river and next to the Grosvenor Park with is very pretty and a nice area to walk through to get to the city centre. We watched a rowing club practise right from our table at dinner. The wait staff in the dining room were very friendly and accommodating. ”Really nice stay near my old hometown. A peaceful Cheshire country area, very quiet and easy to get to. Parking onsite, safe and secure. Food is great, staff helpful and friendly and comfy surroundings. Good range of breakfast options included. Our room was fairly small but there are options, if there had been other facilities like a spa or sauna it would be 5 stars for facilities. Also, much better room coffee would be great but you see that a lot outside of cities, most people don’t care...

”We actually found this hotel and swapped it for our original one after seeing it was over £100 for 4 nights, bargain! Staff were lovely, polite and really accommodating. I saw a few bad reviews complaining about the noise, but it is on a main road so it is to be expected and in all honesty, the noise isn't as bad as you'd think. The rooms were clean and cosy, can't fault a bit of Netflix on a smart TV.. Lovely stuff.The bathrooms were spotless, and I'm fussy about them. Another great quality...

”We stayed at The Ship for a special wedding anniversary. It’s an exceptional hotel in a wonderful area which has a unique atmosphere. The hotel food is good with a menu that changes over the seasons. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice from pastries and cereals to full English. The rooms are well furnished and comfy and the tea, coffee and biscuits topped up daily. For bird watchers the estuary is worth a visit and in the room we chose the hotel thoughtfully provided...
