The Space:
This lovely, modern apartment offers a peaceful oasis in central Taunton. It boasts views over the weir and surrounding woodland, where you can enjoy ample walks or cycles. Inside is just as serene, with a light and bright open-plan living space. The recently renovated kitchen has everything you need to rustle up delicious meals, before settling into the sofas for the evening. A wall-mounted Smart TV has all the necessary apps to watch your favourite film or series.
Down the hallway, find a master bedroom with a king-size bed and an additional single room. There is also a desk set up in this room for anyone on a working holiday! Both share a stylish family bathroom with a bath and shower.

The Neighborhood:
Welcome to Taunton, a vibrant town nestled in the heart of Somerset. The property sits right on the River Tone with the weir just opposite. Cross over the weir and you can enjoy the large nature reserve of Longrun Meadow. This is great for walking and there is also a play area for kids. You'll find a fantastic coffee shop here right on the river, and you can even hire kayaks!
Discover the rich history of the area at the Museum of Somerset or wander through the historic Taunton Castle. Explore the picturesque Vivary Park, perfect for leisurely strolls or picnics by the lake. Shopaholics will delight in the bustling streets filled with independent boutiques and artisanal shops. Catch a show at the Brewhouse Theatre or enjoy live music at one of the town's many venues.
Further afield, explore the rugged coastline of Exmoor National Park, ideal for hiking, wildlife spotting, and scenic drives. Discover the charming villages nestled amidst rolling hills, such as Dunster with its medieval castle and quaint streets. Relax on the sandy beaches of Minehead or enjoy water sports along the coast. Getting Around:
If you want to visit the surrounding areas, it is most convenient via car. Multiple spaces are available in the private car park outside the apartment and there is also an EV charging station on site. If you don't have your own there is a Budget Car hire nearby. A vehicle is highly recommended as there are so many beautiful areas to visit in the West Somerset area!
However, if you don't have a vehicle, the apartment is central and less than 20 minutes walk from the bus station & train station. Taxis are also readily available.
It is possible to get to the surrounding areas via bus link, however a little less convenient.
Other Things to Note:
The apartment is on the first floor and has a lift, so step free access is possible.
This is a new development and has not yet been taken over from the developers by the management company. The communal areas are therefore not as clean as we would like, given the management company of the building is not yet responsible for the upkeep. However, the apartment itself is brand new and thoroughly cleaned for your stay. And we are expecting them to takeover imminently.
