”Check in was super easy, room was absolutely spotless and decorated very nicely. Beds are extremely comfortable, and amenities provided gave everything you would need. Located perfectly between Killington and Woodstock. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Probably one of the cleanest motels I’ve ever stayed in, would definitely recommend. ”

”Place was disgusting, I would not allow my hunting dog to sleep in those rooms, toilet non functioned, dirty stained bedding and floors, bathroom was nasty.. we left no money back do not care... The entire place smelled like moldy wet dirty socks.. hair and other things on floors. Place should be condemned..”

”We stayed here on a trip to a show at the Paramount Theater. Theater was about 2 miles away. Hotel is easy to get to on the main route. Close to downtown. Fast food options close to the hotel. Rooms were nice. Both clean and spacious.”

”Get a room on the second level. You can hear everyone walking and I swear jumping off the bed with their ski boots on. You won’t get sleep if you’re in the bottom level rooms…other than that it wasn’t bad. Breakfast was good and the staff is really friendly”

”The Shire is in a wonderful location and I would recommend for a short stay. They are in the midst of a renovation and the rooms and exterior are nice and well kept. My only issue was that the coffee bars were not well stocked all the time with the same variety and the ice machine was not well stocked as it ran out of water to produce ice during our 2 night stay. Otherwise, the place and location is wonderful.”

”The hot pool never disappoints. Comfortable bed, in room mini fridge and microwave are welcome amenities. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't beat the drink specials and $1 shrimp at the Star Lounge. I hear there are new owners that are going to do some maintenance and renovations and I sure hope they keep the rad North Star vibes we've loved for years. ”

”Beautiful upon arrival we were greeted by the host. She took plenty of time to show us around the property and explain how the bed-and-breakfast works and all the details of the winery brewery excellent day! Days of day.”

”Wonderful historic property with warm and thoughtful staff. Even though some areas in the lobby were being refurbished, we still enjoyed the experience. Look forward to returning when the huge fireplace in the lobby is back up and operational.”
