That said, everything else about the resort was excellent - staff were first-rate, my particular room (Sandia) was incredible, the resort spaces (including the beach itself) were impeccable, the snorkelling trip the resort organized was great, and I even saw a manatee one morning out on the ocean on my own while using one of the complementary kayaks the resort had available.
