He made sure we had everything we needed and encouraged us to look around the 3 acre property. On our stay we used the sauna and the cold plunge. I highly recommended both. Six of us stayed there and it would have felt crowded with any more people, but was perfect for our group. Very close to the Mammoth site and a nice park down the street with playgrounds, etc.”

The cottage is adorable, very private and within reasonable driving times to the area’s attractions. The cottage was well equipped and well furnished. ”Custer was the perfect spot for us to see all the things the Black Hills has to offer. The cozy cabin was just the right size and had all the things we needed to cook, relax, and play. Favorite pieces of the house: the playground, the throw blankets, oscillating fan in each bedroom, the grill and carport. Top notch stay!”

”Went on early season visit to Mount Rushmore and Custer state park. Beautiful area and we had the privilege of being first to stay at the property being renovated. Cottage was very nice and will be back.”

”It was the perfect property for peace, quiet and relaxation with the family! Super close to Custer for access to an last minute amenities. Really great location as ‘home-base’ with convenient access to all the great parks and hiking SD has to offer.”

”Quiet, comfortable hotel. One thing I didn't realize about residential hotels is that most of the guests are there for an extended period of time so in general they will be quieter than guests at other hotels. In addition, there will be fewer children around. Excellent breakfast every morning in a clean breakfast room.”

”Why not stay the night in a cute little cabin with a wide porch in the woods instead of a standard hotel? The staff is super nice and helpful, and our room is clean and comfortable. We had a picnic on the porch after our tour of Mount Rushmore which is only 4 miles away. Highly recommended!”
