”My daughter and I stayed at Landdown resort for 2 nights. We used the pools and ate in 2 of the restaurants. Coton and Rye was hit and miss. Our first meal was great, but the second dinner was not. To be fair, tbe resrt did comp my meal and I was grateful. The pools were adequate, but could do with some upgrading.”

”Staff was professional and understanding. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. They supplied a shuttle service from and to the airport. Breakfast was good.”

It’s interesting because synthetic foods seem to be what corporate executives believe is OK for all of us not staying in luxury hotels. I didn’t know they could make fake fried eggs but that’s what they serve. Hilton hotels offers the synthetic breakfast for marketing purposes so the can charge a little more for the rooms.”

”It's a Red Roof, so I don't expect frills. Room was clean. The AC unit in our room kept cool but didn't seem to pull the humidity out. Fridge was handy, the breakfast very limited. Only gripe I have really is the center door, which is supposed to be secure, was not operational. So anyone could gain access to the building.”

”The hotel wasn’t perfect, but we had a quiet time during our long weekend in the Leesburg area. The hotel was a quick drive from everything that we wanted to see and eat. The room was comfortable, which was the most important. The pool area was good. The cleanliness of the halls was oddly off. The free breakfast was skippable. There are so many good places to eat nearby, you should definitely skip the hotel breakfast.”

However, we had just spent 21 hours straight coming home from a flight. We are both in our 70s and did not want to...
