”Great little last minute trip on a hot day and thoroughly enjoyed it and the hotel was clean and welcoming, especially the Scottish lady on reception who was such a lovely welcoming person. Hotel was, clean and had everything we needed.”

”From easy parking, ease of checkin, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed. Hot drink making facilities and a nice addition of water in the mini fridge, access to a dining area downstairs with microwave, hot drink facilities and a toaster was all you needed. The price reflects the absence of breakfast supplied and to be honest, we preferred this option. Great value for money. We will be back! ”

”A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent.”

”There seems to be no mobile phone coverage at the County Lodge Carnforth. When I arrived at 8.30pm 25/5 the door was locked shut, the place was in darkness and a note attached to the door said to phone a mobile number to gain code keys and access BUT their number failed to ring. Tried multiple times, including 100m away in 3 directions. A landline number was given on the accommodation door, this also failed to ring.
