”Everything was just amazing - I will definitely be staying here again!”

”Hotel is very run down and rooms are extremely tired and grotty. Although it is advertised on numerous websites that the rooms are air conditioned the airconditioning had broken so there was nothing on the hottest day of the year. There was air conditioning in the reception that was working and units installed the rooms with control panels but were not working. Their explanation was that the pump or condenser was not working. ”Celine was amazing. She gave us access after hours, checked on us in the morning and gave us tea and toast after breakfast hours, checked on our welfare, held our bags for us when we went into Oxford, and gave us waters in the heat wave. The sheets were not very clean and the bathroom garage was not emptied when we checked in, but the shower was good and there was a fan and tea provided in the room with decently comfortable beds. A great place!”

”Wonderful price and location. Very clean and basic set-up though kettle and tea/coffee provided. The main negative was that the room was a sauna as there was no air conditioning. They had kindly provided a fan but during the UK heatwave this was insufficient. Having said that, if the temperature was normal I think we'd have had a very comfortable stay. Staff were lovely and super location.”

”No door on the bathroom in the bedroom, which wouldn't be a problem if I couldn't see the toilet from the bed. If you'd like privacy when you go to the toilet, this might not be for you. But other than that, the venue is amazing and the staff were incredible”

”Despite being on the road the property was unexpectantly quiet. Once you get used to fact you are underground is a great place to stay. Had challenges with the door - never figured out how to close it after me when going out. Rang the number provided but nobody picked up.”

”Amazing place!! We will definitely miss it but would love to stay again when we return. The food was phenomenal, easily the best Thai food we had in England. The locals were welcoming and friendly making everything a 11/10 experience. ”

”Window in room broken with a hole in the pane of glass. Shower poor. Wallpaper falling off. Reported tv not working. Staff just shrugged and said nothing they could do. Shower looks like it’s recently been leaking and not repaired properly. Paint all over the carpets. Food was mediocre. Bar person was friendly and good at her job.”
