”Gorgeous mansion with helpful small staff”

”Excellent experience and service at this lovely historic hotel! The front desk staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. My standard queen room was quiet and comfortable; I loved the pretty bathroom with clawfoot tub! Room had a tiny fridge which is always helpful. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining room with hot options and waffles. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available all day. So glad I chose this hotel and would definitely be back!”

”The shower did not work. The front desk ignored the non working shower and did nothing.”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

”The location was really excellent. It was nice to have coffee and water in the lobby. The hotel was charming. The bed was bad. it was like a bouncy castle and quite small.”

”We stayed here for 5 days & loved it! First, the hotel is clean, with a good standard breakfast, modern bathrooms, and coffee and tea and ice water available all day in the lobby. The staff are REALLY considerate and professional. Housekeeping is great. There is limited parking right across the street. Second, the entire hotel is actually an 1800s converted girls' finishing school! It's all gorgeous wood trim and huge staircases, velvet drapes, Victorian wallpaper, and a mix of antique and...

”A cute little artsy super hip hotel and a nice change from boring everything white hotel rooms. Front desk staff are wonderful and oh so friendly! The hotel bar service could use some improvement tho, it was super slow and we waited half hour for two drinks and it wasn’t even busy, also it isn’t air conditioned in the bar area.”

”I gave this hotel a neutral rating for one reason. It’s in a terrible and filthy part of town. Obviously, they are not going to disclose that, but travelers need to be aware. The hotel is super cute and well maintained, but once you leave to walk anywhere, you are in a very sketchy part of town. Our Lyft driver even asked us if we were sure we’d be ok when she dropped us off.”

”No carafe in the guest rooms. So, bring your own water bottle for refill. Refill stations only on 2 floors. No coffee or tea in rooms. Parking is best at the Japan Center. Pay more and park at the hotel but don't forget to book the parking at the time of reservation to avoid full lot on the day of arrival.”
