”Parking in pub car park was easy as we arrived early. Had a drink in the bar and a walk to the shore before check in at 2pm. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely with everything you need. Bed was comfortable, lots of extra bedding and pillows if needed. Bath was a bit difficult to get out of for us personally but would be fine for most people. Meals were delicious, we had breakfast, dinner and tea. Thanks for a wonderful stay. ”

”Great views from the lodge and clean rooms with lots of amenities. Windermere Lake was a 25 minute drive which was really convenient and Lancaster was a 15 minute drive. Although it was a short stay, we really loved our time here! ”

”Hotel is beautiful and attention to detail is perfect. Food was amazing and staff attentive. Spa very small and no pool which was disappointing. Location great to walk to nearby shops. Would definitely stay again. ”

”Beautiful hotel and facilities. We loved our room - the bathroom was amazing! Heating and hot water broke on Friday so shower/bath was lukewarm and cold room. which spoiled our evening a little, unfortunately. Staff were lovely and resolved it ready for the next day/eve. Breakfast was wonderful on Sat/Sunday with great choice and quality. Surrounding area is beautiful and we made use of the chauffeur service to come back from our evening at the gorgeous (and highly recommended) Royal Oak...

”Very dirty room, the floor was covered in dust and debris, there was toothpaste splashed on the bathroom walls and hairs in the sink. The pub was lovely but the room cleanliness needs serious improvement. ”

”Beautiful location, lovely breakfasting room and public interiors. Very tasteful. Very good outside areas too even though the actual outside area was quite compact . It worked. The room was tastefully done and quiet, however the ensuite was rather small, beside the fields. Lots of wildlife. The only point I would make is that the dustbin lorry stopped then went right past my window at 6am. as did an early delivery. Luckily I was already awake . Breakfast was lovely. Everything was spotless and...

”Another great stay . Spotless rooms and facilities (we stayed in the barn annexe). Staff excellent and breakfast first class. Lots of variety and uses local produce for their meals. We ate our evening meals there as well. Will definitely go back again . ”
