”Ystävällinen henkilökunta, lähellä ostoskadut, historiallinen miljöö katedraalin vieressä. Parkkipaikka hieman etäällä n.900m, mutta pysäköinti kuului hintaan. Ravintolapalvelut ja pub saman katon alla. Ravintolassa hyvät ruoat ja niinkuin aina aamiainen lähes täydellinen. Pubissa paikallisia bittereitä ja aleja. Aikaa nähnyt rakennus, pienet narinat ja kaltevat lattiat kuuluvat lähes kaikkiin vastaaviin hotelleihin, joten se on otettava ominaisuutena ei vikana.”

”Authentic and rustic feel. Very conveniently located near to Bootham Bar. Parking included behind the hotel. Room was clean, but small. Breakfast was excellent.”

”Budget price - budget room. Room was basic but very clean and beds were comfy. Tea and coffee available (& extra if needed). We literally just slept there so perfect. Parking on site was brilliant, plenty of space - 20 minutes walk into centre. Quiet despite being over a pub. Outside Iron staircase to the accommodation was a bit daunting with luggage though so something to be mindful of, but if you’re looking for cheap accommodation in a beautiful city then, it’s ideal.”

”Overall a lovely stay. Our room was large, clean & comfortable with a balcony overlooking the front garden area. Good to have a fridge in the hot weather. We also appreciated the USB ports & other amenities. Comfortable armchairs & a comfotable bed, although the bedding was a little excessive for the hot weather - easy to remove the top layer though. The lovely bathroom was also a good size with a seperate bath & shower. Our only frustration was the early morning traffic noise - we had to open...

”Booked here as a stopover on the way to Thoresby hall from Scotland as it was only a short drive off the motorway. We booked bed and breakfast at a very good price and we also had an evening meal. Both meals were great and the room even had an air con unit which was fantastic in the hot weather. The place was great value for money and we will certainly be back, can't thank the staff enough who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well done and we hope to be back soon.”

”Lovely place with a lot of character, perfect location, but unfortunately haven’t felt that unsafe in a hotel for a long time. There was only one fire exit, a narrow wooden staircase.”

”Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.”
