”Absolutely PERFECT in every way! The house is in a location, just far enough that you feel like your getting away, but close enough to beaches and places to eat! We all enjoyed the fire pit area to relax and talk and the loft upstairs was super fun to sleep all together and spend quality time with family Secret cubby for my 2 grandsons was highlight of their trip!Cleanest place we’ve ever stayed and we really appreciate that! Homemade cookies were delicious! Little bags of chips were perfect...

8. Archer's Retreat-Sleeps 10-1/2 mile to Lake Michigan! Pet/Kid Friendly

Sawyer

”The house itself is beautifully decorated, and well stocked! My young children loved running around the home exploring all the rooms and finding all the fun things there were to discover, like a jacuzzi tub (not a hot tub like the description says), puzzles, a tent, and fun outdoor games! The kitchen had everything we needed, and even had a grill with all the appropriate grilling tools. The home has nice outdoor seating, is very well laid out, clean, well stocked, close to the beach, very kid...

10. Spacious 5-Bedroom Sawyer Farmhouse Retreat

Sawyer

”This was a really nice property & we had a fun stay. Unfortunately, there were a few things that weren’t expected. The master bed was broken so it wasn’t sleepable but they did fix it on our last night after they were notified. The dishwasher didn’t work after a couple of days, but they were supposed to fix that as well. The biggest concern was the main bathroom shower that was very slick and a bit scary to take a shower in because of that. But all in all, it’s a beautiful house and property and...

14. 7BR 5K SqFt Schoolhouse • Sauna, Hot Tub, Gym & 2 Game Rooms • Sleeps 16

Union Pier

”The Schoolhouse was very spacious, with ample driveway parking, a large open kitchen and family room, comfortable and spacious bedrooms, and updated, roomy bathrooms. While the house is beautiful, it requires more attention and care, as overall cleaning was lacking, the pool heater was not working, the outdoor grills were dirty, and the floors were squeaky. We paid a significant amount for a four-night stay and expected the property to reflect what was described. I planned this trip as a time to...

15. Duplex | Firepit | Game Room | Hot Tub-all year

Michigan City

”Host offered nice amenities. First night was lovely. Fiddkehead had great food. MC proper is beautiful. It would have otherwise been a very nice trip. Beware: This is a duplex with a top and bottom unit. Our second night was sleepless, with a rowdy party all night even past 4 am. Pounding up and down the floor. Scraping of the heavy metal kitchen chairs along the ceramic tile floor. Loud music. At one point we thought there was a fight. Police were called twice. Beware that there is nothing they...
