”The hotel is situated high above Keswick, so even though it's about a 15 minute walk into town, be mindful that it's a steep climb back again! The breakfasts are wonderful and well organised, the rooms are very comfortable, clean and well-appointed. There's a lovely terrace outside, so if you have good weather, it's a welcome space to just sit and enjoy the view. If I came back to Keswick, I'd definitely be booking to stay here again. Highly recommended!”

”The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. ”

”Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *”

”It was close to major attractions in the town. Parking was included but the lot is not that big so you may have to find parking elsewhere if full, but it was secured with a gate. ”
