Worst hotel experience ever. Horrifying front desk behaviour. Front desk staff openly misogynistic and horribly rude. He refused to give me my room and turned me away, said I hadn't paid, said that Expedia is not payment, told me they were full despite prepayment on Expedia, openly rude and utterly disrespectful, and refused to provide civil customer service. Forced to find another hotel at 10:30 at night. I am a 55 year old woman, alone, had to witness an assault a few feet from my vehicle in the parking lot, open drug use and alcohol use in the parking lot. Called my husband to come from several hours away, as I had to attend a business meeting in the morning, so tried again to resolve the situation and again, blatantly rude to me, lied to our faces that they were full and that I hadn't paid. When we challenged this insane assertion, the front desk staff again refused to do anything to solve this. Received a 'check out' notice in the morning to add insult to injury. (We were forced to stay at another hotel) Following up with IHG Ethics and Customer Service.
Very unsafe, disgusting and demeaning customer treatment.
Expedia needs to be aware that front desk staff claim that Expedia is not actually paying them and refusing to fulfill paid reservations, hoping for some sort of action.
