”Excellent location for walking the moors. Noisy road if on the ‘hill view’ side.
Very dated inside.
Room very grubby and needs a makeover.
Staff lovely and polite. Only 2 people I saw, chef and the young man who did everything else.
Parking great. Plenty of it.
The park literally on your door step.”
”The Waterwheel Inn was exceptional. We had a garden suite which opened straight out onto the amazing gardens and a small double room. Both were decorated nicely and kept clean. Breakfast was served in the lovely conservatory and was excellent with good choices and nice touches like home-made jams and granola. We ate in the restaurant for dinner several times and had great food every time. Staff were helpful whilst being unobtrusive. Our only suggestion is to advertise the vegan options better as...
”Lovely little gem with comfortable rooms and a fantastic shower.
It was a little bit noisy having the window facing the garden Pub but it closed at a reasonable hour!”
”We stayed with Sharon and Steve while walking the Two Moors Way and they were brilliant from start to finish. They went above and beyond to look after us, nothing was too much trouble after a long day on the trail. The food was excellent, proper home-cooked breakfast that was exactly what we needed to refuel. Sharon and Steve are genuinely lovely hosts, warm, welcoming and easy to talk to. The location is great and we'd happily stay again and would recommend them to anyone passing through.”
