”Ben, was extremely understanding that due to the jet fuel situation in the UK, we had to cut our trip short and he was not able to move us to a different day. Outside of expedia's commission he offered to refund a portion of the stay since we couldn't be there that night. Just waiting on Expedia to update it in my account”

”A relaxing stay. Lovely team that felt like family. They couldn’t do enough for us. Kerry at reception was exceptional- very professional and knowledgeable. Jo was an absolute gem. The kitchen staff were brilliant. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel made it especially great due to the amenities nearby in the plaza and fuel station. I highly recommend”

”Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

”Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out...

”Good staff , food good , but no hot water in the sink or bath to wash in the morning it was stone cold. I told the manager who was very apologetic and said he would get it looked at.”

”I ended up booking this on a lark, and what great fortune it was! The location, the attention to details, the fluidity of welcoming attentive and informative staff to impeccable grounds, made it a memorable stay. They combine high end service w/ a feeling of being at home, I will most definitely be booking with them again. Highlights: Spa inclusion w/ room stay (sauna, steam bath all pools especially heated outdoor!) location: coastal pathway to St Charles. Nature walks, no cars to everything...

”Lovely little hotel with great staff and rooms. We were lucky enough to stay in the Lostwithiel room beautifully comfortable bed with a bathroom that was huge. The breakfast was amazing with the hospitality second to none. All in all we had a great stay and will return when next visiting Bodmin.”
