Your Own Private Island

If you love the adventure and solitude of camping, but need the comforts of running water, soft mattresses, a full kitchen, and wifi, this is your Eden. Park the car and canoe across to your own private island!

Watch the sunrise with a hot cup of tea on the morning dock. Follow the sun and spend the day swimming, fishing, kayaking, or lazing in the hammock. Then, spend a quiet evening rocking gently on the floating dock, sipping drinks and watching the shooting stars.

Is it for you?
1) The island is only accessible by water. We provide a canoe for you to transport your gear across. Can you paddle?
2) There is Wifi for emergencies, but there is no TV. Bring books!
3) We have hot water (luxury!!), and an eco-friendly compost toilet. So, our washroom is like an indoor outhouse.
4) Lake water is fine for cooking and teeth brushing, but you'll need to bring your own drinking water.
5) There is one bedroom (with a double bed and a separate child's bed).
6) This is an old-school cottage experience -- as charming as it is, it is NOT the Ritz.

The island is yours to explore. Watch out for the usual hazards (bugs, slipping and falling, deep water), of course. The island is rugged, and sadly not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.
