”Hosts easy to deal with. Place was neat and as promised. Nice place as a base to visit this part of Maine. Did Acadia NP, Whale watch, toured a couple Lighthouse spots, Did Bangor Steven King tour, and Upstate Moosehead Lake with a short walk on the AT. All easy drives from the rental. ”

”This was a small room. Fine for one person, but could be a nuisance for a pair if they have significant luggage. The shower is cramped. Easy to get in. I didn't initially realize there were more supplies in the office downstairs (soap, creamer, etc.). There is also a general store & gas less than a mile to the west. The location is a bit further from both Acadia and Bar Harbor than most options, but not significantly so where you'd have to really plan for extra time to get anywhere. The nearby...

”My kids and I absolutely loved our stay. Everything was so nice and comfortable. My only teeny tiny complaint was that the hot tub was a little yucky in daylight, with a ring around the top and a bit of hair in the foam. My kids did not care though!! All around, lovely stay.”

”Although we were very pleased overall with our stay, I do have some complaints/criticisms: There were no instructions for contacting the property manager in an emergency, or what we might be expected to do on leaving (strip beds, empty trash?) I realize that there is a contact link on the web site, but that states a reply within 48 hours - not very responsive for a short stay or immediate problem. ”This is such a unique property. The attitude and helpfulness of all the staff and the owners makes you feel like you have known them forever. The main house is open 24 hours for access to a full kitchen, living room, sitting room, office setup, laundry room and hot tub. There are snacks for guests (and their pups) out all the time, and a great fire pit with wood and fire starters which we used both nights of our stay. Property is an older site but insides are immaculate and cozily decorated.”

”We stayed 2 nights while visiting Acadia. We wanted to be away from the craziness of Bar Harbor… this location satisfied this need. Check in and communication were great. We stayed in room 7. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Only minor issues that I would want others to consider is… 1) proximity to the highway is very close, which is apparent when I look back at the website pics. It wasn’t an issue for me, as I wear earplugs anyway, but I did hear a siren once, as it is that close....
