”Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied.”

”Helen and Paul must be two of the nicest and kindest hosts we've met. After a 6 hour drive, to arrive to a cream tea laid out in the apartment was truly a lovely touch. One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, they'd literally thought of everything you could need. You name it, it was there, potato peeler, sieve, cling film, foil the works. ”The rooms are quite dated, the majority of the pictures shown are for the first floor rooms while the ground floor rooms are lot more dated and feel like the disparity is quite big. The room itself has two bathrooms and the ensuite had a very foul smell when we first entered and the second bathroom had a damp odour to it. The ensuite smell went away after the first night, but the second bathroom smells got worse over time as the ventilator was not working which we mentioned to the property...

”I wanted to stay somewhere a little quirky and thought that this place would be ideal. There was a very steep lane on arrival. The hut shown in the picture is not the one we were in. We were under the impression that there was only one hut but we spotted 4 altogether. The reason I wanted the one in the photo was because it was close to the toilets as I have a stomach/digestion disorder and have to use the toilet during the night. We arrived about 4pm, unpacked the car and had a Quick Look...

”Lovely night stop over,the room was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for your stay,although slightly dated it is an old property and the furnishings fitted in with the age of the property. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good . Good value for money. If you want a place to stay for a quick stop over and easy access for places to see in Cornwall then it’s great.”

”The hotel was good but the room we has was 2 flights up with 2 very heavy fire doors. It was very hot with only a small window to a flat roof that didn't open more than 3 inches. No phone in room to communicate with reception. Nothing in the immediate area outside the hotel other than a 10 minute? very steep hill to port isaac. There was nowhere to sit and relax out of the heat other than the bar.”
