Riversmeetistä on upeat näkymät joelle ja puron puolelle, lähellä paikallista perheystävällistä pubia ja puistoja. Rakastat tätä paikkaa rauhallisen sijainnin ja viihtyisän mökkitunnelman takia, josta on kauniit näkymät, mutta jotka ovat vain 2 km päässä kaupungin keskustasta. Paikani on hyvä pariskunnille, yksin seikkailijoille, liikematkailijoille, perheille (lasten kanssa) ja karvoisille ystäville (lemmikit). Kiinteistö on tarkoitettu yksinomaiseen käyttöön koko loman ajan.
Alakerrassa on avoin suunnitelma, johon kuuluu oleskelutila ja keittiö. Siellä on pöytä, joka avautuu 4 paikkaan ja 4 ruokasali tuolia. Portaikkojen alla olevassa kaapissa on takkikoukut, kätevä säilytystila sinulle ja puhdistustarvikkeita tarvittaessa. Oleskelutilassa on pari sopivaa kahden istuttavaa sohvaa, joka ympäröi avointa puupoltinta, TV: tä ja DVD-soitinta. Nauti myös kirjoja, DVD-levyjä, musiikkijärjestelmää ja lautapelejä. Keittiö on täysin varustettu keittotarpeisiisi. Yläkerran edessä makuuhuoneessa on upeat näkymät joelle, parivuode ja iso kiinteä vaatekaappi. Toisessa makuuhuoneessa on kaksi deluxe-sänkyä, ranskalaiset ovet ja täyspitkä peili, jossa on vaatteita roikkuu tilaa. Molemmissa huoneissa on iso lipasto pitämään vaatteesi. Tilava kylpyhuone sijaitsee kahden makuuhuoneen välissä, jossa on kylpyamme suihkulla, pesuallas, wc, pyyhekuivain ja kaappi täyspitkällä peilillä. Mökki on täysin kokolattiamatto yläkerrassa, mukaan lukien portaat, lukuun ottamatta kaakeloitu kylpyhuone. Alakerrassa on laatoitettu muhkeat matot oleskelutilan istuinalueella ja kestävä matto keittiössä. Kiinteistön takana on porrastettu puutarha, johon pääsee keittiön ovelta tai kävellen terassin päätymökin ympäri. Puutarhan ylimmässä kerroksessa on panoraamanäkymät kauniille joelle, jossa on suljettu terassi, istuimet ja bbq.
Mökkien terassilta ja kiinteistön takana on suuri porrastettu yksityinen puutarha Riversmeetille. Tähän pääsee keittiön ovelta tai kävellen terassin päätymökin ympäri. Puutarhan ylimmässä kerroksessa on panoraamanäkymät kauniille joelle, jossa on suljettu terassi, istuimet ja bbq. Majoituspaikan edessä on ilmainen pysäköinti tien varrella ja 8 askelmaa edessä olevaan "vakaaan" oveen, pieni patio tuolille ja joitain ruukkukasveja.

Elaine's cottage is in a perfectly quiet location for exploring Truro and its surroundings. We hiked to St. Clement and back on a forest path, and also walked to Truro along the water. Elaine is highly responsive to questions and welcomes us with muffins and milk in the fridge. The beds are super-comfortable!

Pleasent Row House in Malpas

Had a nice week stay at "Riversmeet" in the small community of Malpas just 2 miles away from the city of Truro. Elaine responded quickly to my questions and the instructions she provided for getting to and into the the rental were clear and understandable.The photos of the place are accurate, and we found almost everthing in order - including very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment, and the place was clean and tidy. The view from the front of the property out onto the estuary is amazing, especially if you climb up the back garden terraces to the top where there is a lovely sitting space.I was disappointed that the listed was not completely accurate, as the place did not have a clothes dryer or a functioning BBQ. I contacted Elaine about that, and she confirmed there was no dryer, and she had forgotten that the BBQ had rusted out. She did offer to try and bring some sort of BBQ equipment over, but we had already bought our supplies for the week eliminated BBQ grilling options from our shopping list. It is also important to know that while parking is free on the street, it is very limited on a narrow road that dead ends about half mile further, and there is a lot of completion for parking due to the nearby popular Heron Inn (has great food!) and marina. The worry about finding parking did cause us to plan to be back to the property by early afternoon so we could secure a space. So all in all, had a nice stay at Riversmeet.

Lovely retreat on the river

Lovely views from decking and main bedroom. Loved them. Felt relaxing. 2 mins walk to the pub. 40 mins to Turo on foot. Beaches about 30 away. All amenities we needed.

Place by the River

Lovely property, convenient for Truro and very close to the lovely Heron pub. I had my 90 year old mother with me so the steps into the property were a bit of a challenge, particularly the step over the threshold. The stairs within the house were also steep, but she managed ok. Well equipped and tastefully decorated. I tried to contact the owner and was unsuccessful, which would have been a concern if anything had happened. Left a message on the VRBO site and telephoned the number in the folder of the housekeeper, but received no reply to my messages.

Could be great but..

The host was gracious and the location was nice. The Heron Inn a two-minute walk away was awesome. Day trips from there to Cornwall were great. This was the sixth VRBO in the UK we stayed at in the last few weeks. In comparison, if cleanliness is important, then this would not be a good choice. We felt compelled to clean as soon as we arrived and even then a deep clean would be required. We found that the pictures on the website were misleading in terms of cleanliness. If you are looking for a place that welcomes pets, then this might be just right for you. Parking is included but can be challenging as there is only limited street parking and no assigned spot. We let the host know of our concerns with the level of cleaning and she kindly refunded our cleaning fee.

Fantastic spot

We really enjoyed our stay. Location is great for exploring Cornwall with the added benefit of being on the river and having the fantastic views. The roof terrace view is one of the best views across the river fal that I’ve seen and I’ve been going to Cornwall for a decade. We had a rib for three days and moored it in Malpas Marina a v short walk from the house. House was slightly larger than I expected from the photos. Everything works as it should and beds were comfy, shower pressure reasonable, condiments and facilities all good. Parking was okay. We had two cars and could always find a spot along the road within a minutes walk. Pub is great, neighbours really friendly. All in all a great trip. The owls in woods around the river were a delight as was spotting an osprey (twice) fishing near the marina. Thank you to the host for being easily contacted for any questions and resolving a minor issue so rapidly.

Outdated apartment

The apartment does not correspond to the online description. The inventory is old and shabby. The garden cannot be used because it is prevented. Due to the location on a slope, there is no protection and it is very dangerous for children. Parking is difficult due to the lack of parking spaces. the positives are that it's quiet and you have a nice view of the river.

Drei Tage gebucht, nach einer Nacht abgereist

Dieses Haus war schmutzig, voller Spinnweben und Staub, die Einrichtung abgenutzt, die Küche (insbesondere der Herd) in einem schlechten Zustand. Der Badezimmerschrank war eklig und generell gehört das Bad renoviert. Als besondere Gemeinheit, gab es noch nicht einmal Toilettenpapier! Wir sind nach einer Nacht abgereist und haben dies der Vermieterin auch mitgeteilt. Sie sieht das natürlich alles ganz anders - und das obwohl wir noch nicht einmal Geld zurück verlangt haben. Schlicht, weil wir uns den Urlaub mit dieser Streiterei nicht vollends verderben wollten. Die Vermieterin wird hier als Antwort sicher das Gegenteil behaupten. Wie auch immer, leider lässt Fewo hier keine Fotos zu, ansonsten hätte ich leicht und gern den Beweis für unsere Erfahrungen angetreten. Schade…

Lovely Cottage

Just stayed the weekend but such a beautiful location. A well appointed, clean, and cosy cottage with all the right facilities for us....including a stunning view and a great pub easily within walking distance. Recommended.

A home away from home!

We love it here, location is perfect! The house is lovely and just the right size. Walk nearby, shops and the local pub. Barn door opening onto the reel every morning- what more could you want. Excellent The house was very comfortable, we can’t wait to return! Doggo loved it too!

Beautiful views from upper terrace

We stayed for three weeks as we were helping our daughter’s family in nearby Truro. The cottage was perfect for our needs. It was clean and we especially enjoyed the upper terrace deck when the weather was nice - gorgeous views over the river. The views from the main bedroom are also very nice. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the kitchen items are a bit worn and tired, and could use some additional items. For example, only one skillet was provided, which was large and very scratched up, with no cover. Glassware also was a bit sparse - just some more attention needed to replacing pieces as they break or are worn out. If you don’t plan to use the kitchen for a lot of cooking, it’s fine. Staying three weeks we probably noticed it more than most! But all in all, we were very happy at Riversmeet. Parking is very difficult but we were well aware of that going in, so just set expectations accordingly and all is fine.

Beautiful spot for a short break.

Malpas Village is beautiful and the property is just a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The Heron inn, almost next door, is great with lovely food and a stunning view of the estuary. Easy access to Truro and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days away and would highly recommend this property.
