Tohono O'odham House: historic adobe close to UAZ with fire pit and more!

This renovated, historic adobe home is in the heart of Tucson's Blenman-Elm Historic neighborhood, just minutes from the University of Arizona and downtown. Landscaped in classic desert style by a regionally known landscape architect and accompanied by views of Mt. Lemmon to the north, enjoy the Southwest scenery with your morning coffee on the front patio, or kick it out back, where you'll find a fully-stocked wood fire pit and charcoal grill, and plenty of space to unwind in nature.

Escape the heat and hang out in the game room, complete with a foosball table, full-service bar and retro-stereo sound system. High-speed Internet, TV, basic cable, Apple TV and surround sound stereo make the living room great for watching your favorite movie or show. A fully-equipped kitchen with updated appliances will bring out your inner chef while you enjoy your visit to the Old Pueblo.

One bedroom has a California-King bed, the second has a Queen-sized bed and the pull-out couch in the breakfast nook can accommodate more guests. A spacious bathroom with a bathtub and ample skylights provides all you need for your comfort. Towels and linens provided. Stays longer than a week will receive optional cleaning services weekly for an extra fee and we provide some beer and wine to welcome you. Tohono O'odham House, named in honor of the indigenous peoples of the region who've made the Tucson desert their home for thousands of years, providing a vibrant artistic culture, reflected in the interior decoration and design.

Tucson has an astonishingly rich foodie culture, focused on quality, freshness and locally-sourced ingredients. An updated list of the best of Tucson cuisine is provided for guests upon arrival, sometimes with discounts or special offers. If you want a taste of the Old Pueblo, with an optimal location and all the creature comforts of home, you've found your dream stay.

We stayed 3 nights in October. Kevin's place was just perfect. He has thought of so many little things that made the stay so unique. Not the least of which was the fully stocked fridge! We wish we had more time to enjoy the backyard fire pit. Thanks for a most excellent stay!

We’ve stayed in rentals all over the world, and this one instantly became one of our favorites. I’ve always been a little hesitant about Tucson, but this area, and especially this historic landmark, completely won us over. The house is decorated so beautifully to match the era it was built, and you can feel the thought put into every detail. Nothing was missing, whether it was cooking, cleaning, or just enjoying a drink, it had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Initially you walk in and you think its tiny, but keep going and you are constantly surprised. Thank you Kevin, we are so bummed we cannot stay during Parents weekend because it's already rented, but 5 out of 5 starts for sure.

Clean Quiet Comfortable

Loved the vibe of this super cute home. Very quaint and clean. Above and beyond with refreshments and amenities. We loved the southwest mixed with mid century modern decor. Beds were comfy and the fresh bread and eggs a surprise bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic home in a great location!

Kevin was a wonderful host, he had great communication about our stay and amenities/recommendations. The house is fantastic, lovely, clean, lots of amenities we didn’t even use (stocked bar, backyard/fire pit, entertainment room). We were there for work, so not much time to play, but this would be great for someone who wanted more options than the usual offerings. I l visit Tucson every year and would be thrilled to stay here again.

Most enjoyable

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at this property. Kevin provided many amenities often not found, particularly stocked beverages and bar, and makings for tortillas which delighted us. The backyard is large and private with many sitting areas plus a fire pit. Everything was great. Kevin was very easy to contact , readily answering any questions. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to others.

Great Tucson getaway

Cool historic house in quaint neighborhood 10 minute walk to restaurants, short drive to UA and excellent hiking / mountains. House was well stocked, fun and comfortable with huge, nice, desert backyard. Liked how host managed / communicated. Highly recommended 2 bed / 1 bath for most groups of 4.

Fantastic location, wonderful Tucson flavor

Kevin's place reflects a love of Tucson's special culture which makes it a truly special stay. This is a homey and beautiful place with gorgeous design and all the amenities -- including bar, game room, two comfortable bedrooms and an expansive back yard/garden with fire pit where you can spend your relaxing evenings. Kevin is a great host, always available, and makes the check in easy. Better: he has stocked the kitchen and fridges (two!) with goodies and drinks, incl a wide selection of teas, coffees, beer and drinks. You've got everything you need here for a memorable stay. We've travelled all over, and we'd count this as one of the best hosts and best stays ever. Highly recommended.
