”This hotel is wonderful. The location is incredibly convenient and right on the water. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable- not hard or saggy. The room was also pretty- nice gray blue paint, knotty pine ceiling, ceiling lights, soft white bedspreads- it was obvious the property made the effort to look welcoming, clean, and well kept.”

”The history of the "Alcohol plant" was interesting. The staff were friendly & helpful. It is an older building--so no air conditioning. The view was excellent. We found the room to be clean & in good condition. It was a good value & exellent location; however if you are looking for luxury--this may not be the right choice for you.”

”The place was a lovely historic castle, very beautiful and nicely restored. The room was a bit small but really nice, the bathroom was huge and looked brand new. If you want to stay in an interesting place with history and a lot of character, this is the place - if you don't mind that there is no restaurant or other services on site at this time and it is some distance from the town center. I so want this place to succeed, but it seems there are not enough visitors to keep up all services and...

The carpet was wrinkled, the walls were unpainted, there was hair in the bathroom, the towels were stained, the toilet paper holder was broken, the shower curtain bar was rusty and it smelled terrible. ”This hotel has very little going for it. The room is substandard. It was clean (except for one sticky table), but old furniture can only get so clean. One chair was horribly stained. The property is substandard. The restaurant had a great hamburger. Check in took a long time because the person in charge at the bar was outside making a phone call. (You check in at the bar). ”The bathroom had a soap dispenser that has dropped onto the floor without cleaning, no shampoo/conditioner, the shower didn't drain, the shower door was lined with soap scum and had black dirt on the inside/outside and on the base. Anytime the person above us walked you could hear them and when any door was shut. Lastly, someone thought it would be funny to set the clock alarm for midnight and then again at 12:15. A horrible night's sleep.”
