”Stayed here for a night before a Doubtful Sound cruise. The location was perfect (right down the street from the RealNZ ferry). The facilities were simple but very comfy. Right along the water with multiple paths around the grounds. Felt like a cool little community with many different travelers. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to this area!”

”Wonderful place to stay if visiting albatross sanctuary or just for the experience of staying at the castle. We stayed in a lodge with a sea view . Decor was in-keeping with the castle and beds were comfortable. We had a tour of the castle included in our nightly rate which was interesting and before check-in we ate in the cafe where the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming Highly recommend.”

"An older property that seems to have aged gracefully. We asked for a quiet room and were given one at the end of the hallway, and I think this was a lifesaver. There’s no noise cancellation of any kind and had we been closer to the elevators, it would have been impossible for js (admittedly rough sleepers) to sleep. But as it was, we slept great, listening to the sounds of the waves. The beach is great (much much better than some more expensive resorts), and having sunbeds on the grassy yard was cozy. "
