”Had booked a single room but on arrival found out I had been upgraded to a double. Happy days. All staff I encountered, especially the breakfast employees, were so helpful, kind thoughtful and friendly. Room was plenty big enough even with my dogs bed. Shower was efficient and so the hotel was quiet at night. Only gripe - tea bags were not what I’m used to and not great. Otherwise ideal stay. Great vfm too. ”
”Absolutely lovely place, Very modern styling, Comfy bedding, Big shower and all round very nice, Unfortunately though, When it came to the bathroom, We found the toliet seat wasn't even bolted on properly in Room 1, It kepts sliding bout when lifting the seat. Was little annoying, and the only other thing that would make it Absolutely the best is a mini fridge to be able to keep food and drinks cold. Other than that, It was absolutely lovely 8.5/10”

”Fantastic stay in the Hatfield Lodge Room 2 was great, spacious, quiet, clean. The shower room was lovely large, i feel it maybe a cleaning product used but it seem to leave the floor very slippery and the shower could do with some anti slip texturing on the tray and a handrail for safety. Only down side needs plugs next to the bed. Apart from those points would happily stay again. ”
”This is a rare gem tucked away in rural Suffolk but not 2 mins from the excellent blue boar pub.
The hotel is friendly and welcomes furry friends.

Hotel is in the centre of Southwold and most things happen from the tour centre. Will definitely be going back there again.”

We were given a surprise upgrade to a beautiful suite of rooms, all decorated in the art deco style. All the staff here are genuinely helpful, curteous & approachable.
We have been here several times, at different times of the year. We love being near the sea.
The downside is the actual town itself, which has deteriorated over the past few years.
This will not deter us from returning to this comfortable home from home hotel.”
