Having been delayed and missed a connecting flight I booked a hotel relatively near to the Airport. As it turned out I made an error as the hotel reception closes completely at 20:00 and no contact whatsoever is available with the hotel staff. I booked the hotel after 21:00. Both through the reception number or the Emergency Number left on the main door. As such I am not sure if there was an emergency what would happen. Despite a number of requests to refund my mistake the hotel has taken the decision not to refund the accommodation fee.
In addition two guests staying there had some issues accessing the main door and it was apparent they had not been shown how to do so.
Suffice to say should I need to stay in Amsterdam again this would not be for me and it may well be a lovely hotel however not particularly guest focussed.
