”For what you pay, this is an excellent place to stay when visiting Hereford, but it is really a room only property. It is situated a couple of miles outside Hereford, in a quiet countryside setting, so is nice to unwind at. There is a continental breakfast available for only £5, but this could not be booked through the Expedia site. ”Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms with good ensuite facilities at a great price. Restaurant has excellent dishes at good prices and the bar serves a good range of drinks again at good prices. A Continental Breakfast is included and there is no cooked breakfast option. The only drawback is the lack of a lift and one or two floors are a bit unveven but to be expected at over 400 years old. ”

”Friendly staff, but the room and facilities are very much in need of an update. The double bed in room 7 is terrible; nowhere near flat, and extremely rickety.”

”This is a wonderful, historic hotel on the river in Worcester, a 5 pound taxi ride from the Worcester New Shrub train station, and within walking distance to the city's cathedral and central shopping, dining area. The breakfasts couldn't be better, and the restaurant is top notch. My room had a separate living room facing the river with operable French doors and windows.”

”This hotel provided a reasonably sized and comfortable room. The bathroom, although a bit small, was well-organized, making it convenient for guests. The breakfast was excellent value for money, offering a variety of hot food options. However, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that persisted throughout our entire stay of six days. I suspect it was coming from the shower curtain fabric or the sewer line. Additionally, the bathtowels were not made of cotton.”
