”Yes the staff was friendly my husband had a medical emergency staff did up and beyond there duty had the same room for extra nights while my husband was in hospital couldn’t do enough in making my still was saved and se cure .Did not get to the spa but I would books holiday there again in a heart beat.breakfast had lovely options ”

”The hotel is lovely overall, but it feels a little tired in places, with some short-term fixes rather than longer-term solutions.
Our room was very warm, and a sign advised calling reception as the air conditioning was decommissioned. When I did, the response felt quite dismissive, focusing on the fact that air-con wasn’t included in the booking. Location and view are fantastic, with a couple of mins walk to the Windermere cruises dock, with easy access to Bowness and Ambleside. There are several nice walks in the local area.
The rooms are a little dated/traditional in style, and the bathrooms could use a little refurbishment but the room was very comfy and well ventilated. No...

”We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location.”
