”We spent 4 nights in June 2014 at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort and we really enjoyed our stay. It took a bit over one hour from the airport to reach the hotel. We used a taxi which I highly recommend. Cost was 60 USD. Police had many road blocks along to way, so make sure your driver has his paper work in order. ”Beautifully laid out, beach right out every front door, very clean, staff was helpful and friendly, great food and a quiet but still family atmosphere. You can tell the owners give a lot of attention to the details. Pool was so clean and beautiful. Also the landscaping was stunning and gave it an upscale resort feel while still having an intimate feel. They set up an excursion and airport ride and made the whole process easy. Would HIGHLY recommend this place and would stay here again!”
