”Hotellista ei jäänyt hyvä maku, emmekä majoittuisi siihen uudelleen! Sähkökatkoksia oli monena iltana/yönä, jopa monen tunnin kestoisia. Myöskään ilmastointi ei siis tällöin toiminut, joten huoneessa oli todella kuuma eikä nukkumisesta tullut mitään. Ilmastointi ei toiminut lähes aina muutenkaan, vaikka sähköt pelasivat. Aina huoneeseen tullessa sai jännityksellä odottaa, oliko vastassa ihana viileys vai paahtava kuumuus - useimmiten jälkimmäinen. Huone muuten oli ok ja suht iso, mutta aika...

”Aivan ihana paratiisisaari rauhallisen Pongwen rannan edustalla! Saimme alusta loppuun loistavaa palvelua ja saimme myös upgraden sviittiin, koska se sattui olemaan vapaana. Ruoka erinomaista (parasta ruokaa zanzibarilla) sekä aamupalalla että illallisella ja sitä pystyi tilaamaan myös omaan villaan ja omalle terassille. Saarelta pääsee helposti mereen uimaan nousuveden aikaan ja aktiviteetteja/retkiä myös kohtuullisesti tarjolla. Ehkä ennemmin kuitenkin saari sopii rentoutumiseen ja...

”Maisha was a beautiful hotel with friendly and kind staff. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The beach bar had great food and drinks and we ate there every night. Would definitely stay here again. ”

”The stay was fine. For what the cost is, it is a nice deal. The gardens on the grounds are lovely and attract all kinds of birds in the morning. The veranda is a great place to have a good continental style breakfast. A very large room, small fridge, rope "dresser rack', mine had aircon with a nice ceiling fan, desk. The bathroom was fine and large. The bedding was minimal, a sheet to cover myself, but it was fine. I didn't ask for more, so I am sure the very accommodating staff will...

”Right on the beach! Our room had a view of the ocean, too. It wasn't too busy when we were there so they upgraded us to a deluxe room! Very nice people work here! The rooms are cozy with all the amenities and the water is SO hot, which was a lovely perk because not many places have such hot showers on the island. We were welcomed very graciously! They offer a variety of food at their restaurant and they have a nice bar on the beach, as well. The lounge area on the beach was particularly my...

”The hotel was good choice as we had renter car and could go everywhere on the island. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The ocean was not the best beach in zanzibar but this is not the hotels fault. ”

”Nice if you like solitude and being in nature, and don't mind "rustic". Big open air villas surrounded by trees (even a few baobabs), which are frequent by monkeys (including red colobus). Not so nice if you are used to excellence and attention to detail in everything. Resort is in need of TLC at a minimum or renovation at a maximum to make it worth the price. All of the cushions are either worn out or torn with the cotton pocking out or zippers not closing... I would not recommend booking any...
