”The local employees were good, food was great and the rooftop is super nice! We stayed for two nights and the experience was ruined when there was a rain and the doors weren’t in best shape. The water came through the door and the hotel room was full of water. All my clothes and bags were wet. The way the manager handled things weren’t good at all. I tried to dry my things and had to go through every single thing I had with me. Some shoes were destroyed and the whole thing took me half a day....

Das Personal ist ist sehr freundlich und hilsbereit und stehen einem mit Rat und Tat jund Service ederzeit zur Seite. Die Lage ist toll. Vom Hotelrestaurant blickt man direkt in eine schöne kleine Gasse mit bunten Geschäften und aufs Meer. Nur 100 Meter und man steht schon am Strand. Das Essen im Hotel ist günstig und superlecker, besonders das frische Seafood hat es mir angetan. ”

She was also helpful with transportation and accommodating our needs . The place was clean and looked just like the picture presented . ”

”One of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning in the room did not work and there is no overnight staff to contact. It was 34 degrees. There is no bottled water in the rooms (you cannot drink the tap water). When an extra towel was requested (for the second person in the room - the room had 2 beds) the staff said none were available as they needed to do laundry. ”Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. ”I just stayed 2 nights at Casa Umoja. It isn’t a place with all the frills but that is exactly what I was looking for. There is a lot of greenery on the compound and it has all the basics that one needs. Definitely reasonably priced especially when you consider that it includes breakfast.
