”One of the best mid-tier hotels I've stayed in in a long time! Hard to believe it is a Holiday Inn Express. They renovated in November 2025 and spared no expense. The pool and hot tub were huge and very nice. They had a commercial Costa coffee maker in the lobby. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and included a pancake maker! The rooms were nicely done. They had firm and soft pillows...loved the discrete labeling on the pillow cases. The view of Lake Superior from the breakfast room...
”Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was spacious, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We kayaked, fished, swam, made campfires, and relaxed. It was the perfect place to make memories. We will definitely look to stay here again when visiting the UP.”

”The staff were wonderful and all were kind. The pool was salt water and great to use. You are right by a walking path that leads to all the great stores downtown. There is a small path right by the pool doors that lead to Lake Superior and you can get into the lake. The rooms are very clean and quiet. Overall, I highly recommend staying here,”
