”I usually do not give ratings but this time I feel that I have to let people know how amazing this Ryokan/hotel is. First the location is right in the middle of Beppus 7 Hells. You walk out and around corner they are! Second the hotel has breathtaking views of Beppu and the sea. Third the ryokan do not look much from the street but boy when you walk in you are surrounded by absolutely beautiful japanese garden, pond and architecture. Fourth, all the 4 rooms we had had own beautiful onsen bath...

”This place offers 4 private onsens that may be reserved for family which is unique, though there is an onsen tax of about 1200 yen. The staff were friendly and accommodating. One of the bidets in our room were not working unfortunately, but I’m sure if staff is notified, it could’ve gotten troubleshooted. ”An absolutely wonderful ryokan. Everything is beautiful and very traditional, the room was amazing, and the onsen were perfect for relaxing and switching off. The atmosphere is peaceful and cosy, making it a great place to experience a more traditional side of Japan. And a special mention to Kirin-chan, the duck they have at reception — absolutely adorable! 🐤😂 Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful place to disconnect, relax, and enjoy an authentic Japanese experience.”
