”Cosy Barn was the perfect place to stay for a get-away from it all weekend.The house was welcoming, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Quiet location with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep, and the village pub is about half a mile away. Claire responded quickly to the booking request and gave clear instructions for access to the house. Thank you Claire for making your cottage so welcoming and excellent communication. ”

”The property was falsely advertised as 7 bedrooms when it was 6 bedrooms. The house was very untidy and sheets were not washed. Used toilet paper was even found in drawers. We had to clean up ourselves as soon as we got there. Even though photo evidence was submitted to Vrbo, they could not get the host to compensate for at least the false advertising. This is where I believe Vrbo was complicit. Poor customer service. NEVER USING Vrbo AGAIN. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.”

”Lovely and clean place just as the pictures portray. Owner does a great job at communication and responds quickly and even checks in on you once you’ve checked in.”

”Our stay was amazing The Chapel was in a beautiful location, a 2 min walk to the local pub and excellent for walks. Th hosts were very accommodating with a sample of some local treats , wine and beer. We will definitely stay again and would fully recommend ”

”Had a great time walking from the house to Tissington. Great location near Dovedale. Property was as advertised, clean and relaxing.”

”Booked this location as we were going to a festival, the manager of the property never got in touch for getting us into the property we were asked to wait until 4pm on the day we were meant to be checking in. 4pm rolls on no contact and told theyd issue a refund. Still havent recieced one had to find new accomodation for 7 people on the day of the festival. Shocking. Will never be using them again. ”

”The staff was very helpful and friendly. But the house was unsafe and it was dangerous for fire no fire escape from the room. The room hadn't been readied there was no bed linen and it wasn't ready to go into so we had to wait for a hour. ”

”Clovelly Court is well placed and Nightingale House was well appointed with a great lay-out for 6 adults sharing. We were in the area for a wedding so the location was great and we loved that the property is walking distance from a superb and quirky pub, a fabulous coffee shop, pharmacy, and Sainsbury. A good location, too, for exploring further afield. All the bedrooms are a great size and having 3 bathrooms was a bonus. The owners are fab - great communication and very accommodating offering...

”This is a beautifully put together house and it was immaculately clean throughout. Check-in was no problem and the location was great. If you are not a good walker, you might struggle with the trudge up the steep hill from Matlock to the house: we decided it meant the cheese and wine was well earned!! There is some confusion in the listing about the bedrooms: B1 is listed as having a king size bed: the picture is of the smallest room which has a small double. The other two rooms have...

”A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Very well equipped and lots of extras provided. The bed is super comfortable and big ! Top quality amenities. We had a lovely stay.”

”Just what we needed for a short stay visiting family in Newcastle under Lyme. So kind of the owner to provide fresh milk and tea and coffee and biscuits plus toiletries in the bathroom. Comfy beds, cosy living room and well equipped kitchen. Only lack was no freezer so couldn’t re-freeze our cool box blocks but to be fair listing does say this. We are at the local pub and had a delicious meal. Loads of places to visit within 45 mins. We chose Hawkestone Park Follies this visit. Hope we can...
