”We stayed for 5 nights, which I think was about perfect - enough time to relax but not so long that we were bored on such a small island. The reef was beautiful and had lots of different corals, along with loads of fish. We don't dive so we snorkelled each day. We took our own masks but used Bokissa's flippers, which were excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Whilst there was a child there (12 year old) while we were there, it seemed much more suited to couples.”

”Average and thus overrated. Even with the context of Vanuatu. Best is the views, steak is also very good (as it tends to be in Vanuatu). The double story wing is poorly constructed so I was lucky it was quiet time of the year, the building shakes when staff walks on the upper deck. Beware, there is someone with long fingers, keep your valuables locked away, I was nicked a watch.”

”I loved Breakas Beach Resort! It's not a high-end, super-glitzy kind of place, but a very lovely, relaxed, simple place to stay where they still take care of your every need. ”The buggy service around the Island is pretty ordinary . Granted that they have to pick up and drop off guests all the time but there should be some priority given to some cases . eg: Like waiting to go to the airport with baggage. We waited for 45mins before we decided to walk up to the reception . we booked it for 12pm ( Dep at 1520hrs ) and at 1245 we decided to walk . This is not the fault of the operators ( drivers ) but management must give priority to departing Guests. More Island...

Not worth it
"The hotel has definitely seen better days, everything was coming undone. The whole place could use a coat of paint... The bathroom door wouldn't close as it was falling apart. There were a ton of cockroaches running around (probably a common problem around the island but anyhow, annoying). The pool had no lounge chairs so bring a pool float or something unless you enjoy sunbathing on the hard ground. Wifi basically only worked in the lobby. The room was a good size and the little balcony was a nice addition, but I would not stay there again especially for the price we paid."
